Temporal Interference is an installation/performance piece that I created in collaboration with the Jane Franklin Dance company that will be performed twice this spring. In a free concert at the King Center, University of Colorado Denver on April 5, 7:30 PM, 2008 (download the press release with King Center performance details). TI will also be at Performatica in Pueblas, Mexico on April 3.
This dance explores aspects of space and memory, and how it can effect those around us.
Here is a short 3 minute video document of Temporal Interference at the Warehouse Theatre.
This piece is also an example of a human interface for live video and music, the dancers control the electro-acoustic sound and live video by the relationship of their body to the sensor. I designed this program using software that allows for real-time feedback and manipulation. The sound is created through both live synthesized sound and pre-recorded music composed by Gina Biver. This image gallery is from the first performance at The Warehouse Theater.
